5 Gold Anchors and a business award!

It's a bit of a struggle to write anything today so I'll have to be brief. We have had a fantastic week — it started off with confirmation that we have been awarded 5 out of 5 gold anchors in the British Marine Federation/Yacht Harbour Association Gold Anchor Scheme. I feel a bit like a proud mum over it all because it makes us the first inland waterways marina on BW waters to receive the award. On Tuesday night we had a charity Pampered Chef Cookery party — Can't Cook, Won't Cook — my two (un)willing volunteers were Garry and Colin (thanks boys!!) and they were brilliant! Garry — I've never seen chopping like that before!! Rookery Hall Hotel and Spa, the Overwater Coffee Lounge, the Audlem Lass team, and one of our moorers, Jenny, all donated prizes for our raffle and we raised around £250 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association — thank you so much!! And finally the week finished off with us trooping off to Crewe Hall for the annual South Cheshire Business Awards — and WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were awarded "Best Start-Up Business of the Year". Obviously such a proud moment couldn't pass without the odd glass of wine....which really might explain why it's such a struggle to write anything today...just wondering if I can get away with having a bit a lie down under my desk........
