Audlem Lass back in business

Fantastic news — the Audlem Lass is back in business! She started running on Good Friday and had a brilliant first day ferrying passengers from the marina to the bottom of the locks and back. The girls are particularly pleased at the news. Isabelle spent most of last summer asking me if there was anything I needed from the village so she could have a ride on the boat and feel very grown up about doing the shopping. Sadly it's going to be a bit longer before Anna will be able to take a boat ride — she had an unfortunate episode playing dodge ball on a trampoline and has broken her leg. Poor little mite is in plaster from thigh to toe and isn't allowed to put any weight on it. Life has been pretty traumatic (for us, not her!), although things have looked up since we managed to loan a wheel chair with a leg rest from the Red Cross and she has, at least, now got the hang of her walking frame.

The team nicknamed "Peeky's Blinders" were in their bespoke mini...
