There was definitely a good choice of beer and cider on offer at the Audlem Beer Festival this weekend, and it was lovely to see so many of our moorers supporting the event. We popped down on Monday afternoon and spent many a happy hour watching people wobble around and stagger off down the high street. By then many of the stronger ciders had sold out so I had to content myself with a strawberry cider (or two). It was delicious! Then it was off to the Shroppie to sit and watch the world go by and chat with friends. What a lovely afternoon — makes you realise just how lucky we are to have such a fantastic place right on our doorstep! The funniest part of the afternoon was watching our friend's dog executing the most perfect racing dive into the cut in persuit of sticks and then watching the children run in all directions when he hauled himself out for a shake. It always pleases me that some of the most fun things to do are still the ones that just happen and are free!
