The Big Switch On

This is the first year I've missed the big switch on of the Christmas lights in Audlem. We had to go to the Marketing Cheshire Awards at Tatton Park — we were shortlisted for the Contribution to Cheshire Award — which was fantastic....except it clashed with the big red guy with the white beard arriving in Audlem on the Audlem Lass, prior to the countdown to lighting the tree in the main square. Audlem has been having it's evening Christmas event for a few years now — one of the first I went to was when we had just put the planning permission in for the marina — that was a dreadful Christmas, one of worry and stress — it actually makes me feel physically sick just thinking about it. Over the last few years Audlem's Christmas celebrations have gone from strength to strength, and we're incredibly proud at the Marina to be involved in the success of the Audlem Lass in helping to make the Big Switch On such a fantastic event. For anyone else who missed it — you can watch a short video on AudlemOnline — just click on this LINK.
The warmth and heart of our fantastic village shines through everytime you watch this video — there is no better place to be in the run up to Christmas!
