I've sneaked in early this morning, first day back at school for daughter No. 2, so we're out and about early to catch up with our lift share. I love coming in early — it's so peaceful when there's just you, and it's great for people watching as the marina starts to wake up and people start to be out and about. This morning is about as good as it gets — beautiful sunshine, crisp fresh air and not a drop of wind. The marina looks like glass and the colours are sumptuous. Right out in front of my window I can see a group of daffodils who were probably not quite so keen on the slight frost we had early this morning. They were planted by Richard and his wife Chris in the depths of winter when the marina was just a sea of mud. They even walked across to the island and planted some there and 5 years on they now look fantastic — now every spring I shall think of him — what a great way to remember him by.
