Juggling act

The Overwater sky

Half way through the school holidays and I'm doing quite well at keeping everything up in the air — balancing the kids and work can be quite a juggling act. Typically I spend most of my day at work feeling guilty I'm not at home doing things with the girls....then I race home to find they haven't missed me one little bit and are quite happy riding or messing about on the farm....and then I feel guilty I'm not at work. I then pop back to work to find that of course they are quite happy without me and I might as well head back home. Feels a bit like ping pong! I knew bringing the kids up to be so independent would back fire on me somehow!! On a different note this Monday morning has been its usual crazy self — it started at 9am with Rodney (Audlem Lass and Wheelyboat) and I being interviewed for Radio 4's Farming Today who are running a rural tourism week. Radio interviews are sooooo difficult — you just find yourself concentrating so hard on not saying 'Erm@ or 'Errrr' I just start talking twaddle. I don't think my career is likely to shift to Radio media anytime soon!!
