Merry Christmas

Home » Blog » Merry Christmas

I'm writing this sitting in the marina office after shivering outside for the annual Overwater Marina Carol Singing session. Sadly the weather is so inclement we didn't make it around the marina — the general concensus was to stay close to the building. The carol singers were in good voice, with a solo of Away in a Manger and Silent Night by Isabelle, and a range of home made percussion instruments to keep us all on track. The singing was impressive, but not quite as impressive as the Overwater version of The Twelve Days of Christmas, performed by Garry and Kevin and written by Roger. Well done boys — I've never heard it done quite like that before!!! And now for the serious bit — I wish you and your family, your friends and anyone who is special to you a truely peaceful and merry Christmas. Try to ignore all the hype, the consumerism and the glitz and take a moment to relax, rest and enjoy. Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year. Janet x
