RNLI Festival

What a great weekend! We've just held the Audlem RNLI Festival at Overwater. It all kicked off with a dog show, sponsored by Nantwich Vets, on the Saturday and then the best evening do ever on the Saturday night — all thanks to the Wychcraft Big Band who were superb, and of course to everyone who attended who generated a brilliant atmosphere! The RNLI bar was full to the brim with ales from the Newport Brewery and Adderley Farm Shop and the Coffee Lounge at the Marina provided great food. We had friends over who were delighted that their little dog won a prize and our No 2 daughter spent the morning with her cousin trying to teach Oscar the London dog a trick for the Best Trick Category. They didn't suceed but Oscar had an incredibly nice time scoffing loads and loads and loads of dog treats whilst they undertook his "training"! I did quite well at the evening do — despite being topped up with red wine (thank you Paul!) I remained sober(ish)....unfortunately that went to pot when we finally got home and had to celebrate the other friend's new job with a bottle of fizz. Needless to say I was back in on Sunday morning for the raft race, bright and early, but clutching a box of Kelloggs Frosties, which I have to say are pretty good when you're feeling just a little bit delicate!
