Lots has been happening here over the last couple of weeks. I know it's no excuse for not blogging enough lately but we really have been busy. We've had a few really lovely days — what a difference a bit of blue sky and sunshine makes. Everyone seems to be out and about and the interest we've started having in moorings is incredible. Land and Water are also here finishing off some snagging work — just bits and pieces, but it all makes a difference and the planting is pretty much complete apart from one (deliberate?) mistake — one of the moorers alerted me to 5 of the trees which are sitting in their holes, attached to a stake but never filled in — poor things — the gardeners assured me they'd be back to sort them out but looks like I'll be popping round their later with a bucket of soil and a spade......as Angus would put it....my talents are endless.....
Oh — and as for the blog headline — I almost missed out my most exciting news — the marina is now a base for RYA training with Linda from Cheshire Cat Holidays now offering Helmsman's Courses so I'm booking myself onto one asap — it's been a long time since I stood at the helm of a boat......clear the canal!!!!!!
