A weekend of firsts

Well it has definitey been a weekend of firsts! — Our first boats in, our first pump out and this morning my first re-fueling (and I didn't even fall in!!) The atmosphere in the marina as the boats started to arrive was amazing. it sounds really corny but the place really did start to feel like it was coming alive. Just like an empty house when a new family move in, the whole place has become so much more than just waterspace and jetties.

Over the weekend the tilers have been working really hard in the facilities building and when I peered through the windows tonight we have a beautiful tiled floor throughout the main entrance and the coffee lounge. On Friday night after the first few boats came in the children, my mum and I all went down to meet up with Sue, Adrian, Alex and Anthony to have a little celebration. It was a really still night and the water looked like glass. As the lights slowly switched on around the marina we sat out and worked our way through a couple of bottles of pink cava, one packet of jaffa cakes and five bags of Wotsits — there was no finer a feast and no better place to have it !
