Christmas Lights - the Big Switch On

Home » Newsroom » Christmas Lights - the Big Switch On

Like it or not Christmas is coming and there are no better places to start off the festive season that in Nantwich and Audlem. In Nantwich we can look forward to a day of celebration for the Christmas Lights switch on which takes place on Saturday November 30th. The lights are being switched on by TV vet Steve Leonard.

The event of the year will be the Big Switch On in Audlem, next Thursday (28th November). From 5pm the RNLI will be selling and lighting 'Wish' candles by the canal — you will be able to make a wish as you watch them float away, lighting the water to guide Father Christmas safely in on the Audlem Lass at 6pm. He will disembark by the Shroppie Fly (newly refurbished). The excitement will then move to the centre of the village for the switching on of the beautiful Christmas tree and the many other Christmas lights. You can then visit the wonderful array of shops in the village who will stay open late offering unusual Christmas gifts, wine and food.
