Fancy visiting one of the many quaint market towns nearby – try Nantwich, known for having among the highest concentration of listed buildings in England, Whitchurch, the oldest continually inhabited town in Shropshire or Market Drayton, famous for its Gingerbread Men and its bustling weekly market.

You can also visit the historic city of Chester and walk its magnificent medieval city walls, or simply spend time down by the River Dee.

Both Shrewsbury, the county town of Shropshire and Stoke on Trent, famous for its world-renowned pottery are also within reach.
