OverWater Marina's moorings are located just north of Audlem in Cheshire, with its famous run of fifteen locks, and just south of the historic market town of Nantwich, both of which are only a short cruise away.

There's a wide and varied choice of cruising routes if you fancy a longer trip — OverWater Marina's location on the Shropshire Union Canal means that we have easy access to the four counties cruising ring:

The Llangollen Canal

We are approximately three and a half hours cruising time from the stunning Llangollen canal which runs from Hurleston in South Cheshire, passing through Ellesmere in Shropshire before arriving in Llangollen.

Montgomery Canal

Accessible from the Llangollen canal is the beautiful Montgomery canal, seventeen hours cruising from OverWater Marina. More informally know as The Monty, the canal runs stretches over thirty miles through North Wales and Shropshire passing through Llanymynech and Welshpool before ending in Newtown.

The Trent and Mersey Canal

The Trent and Mersey Canal to the north can be reached in approximately eight hours cruising, via the Middlewich branch of the Shropshire Union Canal. The Trent and Mersey is home to the famed Anderton Boat Lift, where it connects with the River Weaver.

The Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal

The Staffordshire and Worcestershire anal at Autherley Junction, to the south, is sixteen hours cruising time away. At 46 miles long, the canal links the Trent and Mersey down through Staffordshire and Wolverhampton to the River Severn in Worcestershire.
