Afternoon stroll

Earlier I was sat on the sofa in the coffee lounge watching a group of about 6 young beef cattle strolling down the towpath. They're led by one with a completely black body (Aberdeen Angus cross??) and a completely white face – and there's no hurry in the job – they look like they're on an afternoon stroll to the pub! They walked out of sight and about 10 minutes later they were back, walking in the opposite direction, again in no hurry, very chilled out and on their way home (hopefully). A few phone calls later and I think we may have tracked down the owner and another neighbour has just walked down the towpath to make sure they don't head back to the pub! And then to top the afternoon off I've just seen the kingfisher sitting on a branch outside reception!
