All Seasons

We seem to be having all the seasons in one day today! Wind, rain, hail, sun and now flat calm. Poor Colin has been out doing a spot of work on the ends ofthe jetties and has just come back in resembling a rather drowned out (water)rat. I've got a new trainee here today – Angus has a day off at the farm, and we are short staffed, so he's been in drafted in and is proving rather useful at sending out to do fuel and pumpout when the weather is so inclement! Now it's beautiful out there, fluffy white clouds breaking apart, with enough blue to make a sailer's trousers (always a good sign according to my nan) and water like glass. There's a few boats moving around and the coffee lounge has so many delicious smells coming from the kitchen that I've finally given in and just had an Overwater all day breakfast which has set me up for an afternoon of pricing up new stock, including our new Dog Life Jackets – which are now being modelled in reception on Isabelle's 5 hands high stuffed horse (except I've been telling everyone that it's a Sheltie!)
