Building Bridges

What an exciting week it's been (apart from the weather). We've been building a bridge. Well, not exactly Angus and I, because clearly that would be quite difficult. That's not to say we couldn't knock up a perfectly respectable bridge if we tried, it's just that you probably wouldn't want to walk across it without a safety net. Our bridge has been built for us by Harbrook Engineering (thanks Mike!) and the best thing about it is that it will complete the circular walk around the marina, so moorers on Marigold, and in fact most of the canalside moorings can reach us on foot more easily. Cheshire moorings don't get much better than this! The day it went up I was out in a field in the pouring rain, watching Isabelle riding a cross country course. Obviously, needing to keep tabs on what was going on, I spent most of the afternoon hiding under bushes keeping out of the rain so I could use the old smartphone to log onto the webcam. Sadly a 2inch screen in the driving rain, whilst crouched under a hawthorn hedge doesnt really provide the best view, but at least it was better than missing out on the momentous occasion!
