Colin the Cormorant

Since we got here this morning "Colin" has been sat as still as can be on the end of the refuelling bay. So much so we're now starting to get a bit worried about him. He looks quite solitary and has been still for some time now, wings outstretched, presumably drying them out after an earlier fishing expedition (oh – if you're still wondering – he's a cormorant, and a very fine one at that!) Trouble is every time I pop out to take a photo he goes shy on me and tucks his wings in, so the one at the top of the page is the best one I can do – if he hangs around I am determined to get a good photo of him so if anyone is watching the webcam this morning you might see someone acting very strangely with a camera, hiding behind the fence, then the pumpout machine.....hmmmm wonder how much I could get a camouflage gear for........
