Don't drink the water!

It's been a while since my last blog because we sneaked off on a family holiday. We've been to the Alps and have had a week of blue skies and sunshine – absolutely brilliant and a complete stress-buster. Lots of french bread, wine and cheese have been consumed and Anna, the youngest, has learnt to ski like a tiger (before you ask – I know Tiger's can't ski – but don't tell Anna that!!) On the down side we made the mistake of trusting the local drinking water which probably wasn't one of my best decisions as water levels in the reservoirs were low and Angus and I, and even little Anna, were really ill for a day or so. It really made us appreciate how we take for granted important things like clean water and how easily life can go horribly wrong when it's not available. We really are very lucky to live in a country where clean fresh water is so readily available and I don't think I'll take it for granted quite so much as I have done in the past. On a commercial note, and because it's often said that I never miss a trick – don't forget that we sell drinking water purifier and fresh water tank clean in the marina office ;)
