First ever open day

Wow – what an amazing day we had yesterday at our first Open Day. We had no idea how many people to expect and I had even taken the precuation of taking some "light" reading along (tax and PAYE regulations)to keep me going during the quiet periods. The first car rolled up the drive at 9.50am and we waved the last one goodbye at 4pm.

This was at this point both Angus and I realised that we'd not had a bite to eat all day, and had met an amazing number of people who have already booked moorings, plus lots and lots of new prospective clients. I was taken aback at how many people braved the inclement weather this weekend and were willing to walk around the site – all I can say is well done everyone!!! (in particular the couple who I met on site on Saturday in driving rain and gale force winds!!!) It's now time to come back down to earth and get on top of the paper work.

On site this last week the most exciting development was the digging out of the clay bund at the entrance. Now there are just stop logs and a clay plug on the marina side, and a lovely new 70' winding hole on the canal side of the entrance which looks fantastic!
