Flowers on the island

A number of people have been asking about the flowers on the island. Angus took his tractor across there in the autumn and seeded it with a British Seeds wild flower mix. It now looks quite spectacular with a mix of white flowers and poppies.

Angus and Richard have spent quite some time deliberating which on the list of latin names the white flowers are and we have come to the conclusion that the only way to find out for certain is to row across and "David Bellamy" style acquire a sample which I can compare with my Collins Wild Flower Guide. the trouble is, it looks so peaceful there is a serious risk I may decide not to come back and in 6 months time you may notice a wisp of smoke from my newly built hut and spot me hunting wild game (do canada geese count??) for food.....
