I'm singing in the rain...

It's raining at last! Everyone else might be singing "rain, rain go away, come back another day," but I've been praying for the stuff for days. A good old downpour, or two, or possibly even three, is the only thing to sort out my grass seed saga. The whole of the marina was seeded two or three weeks ago and since then we've hardly had a drop of the good old wet stuff. Worse still my beautiful new turf by the facilities building had started to look decidedly sorry for itself so we've had to keep using the sprinklers.

As I said last week there seems to be some unwritten law of nature regarding sprinklers which states that thou shelt not turn them off to move them, instead one should develop timing and stealth in order to move them without a drenching. Needless to say that despite the practice I seem to be struggling in the timing and stealth department and I've stopped bothering to have a shower in the morning – I just pop down to the marina and move the sprinkler. From whatever direction I try, it still gets me, not just once, but everytime – I'm even starting to get used to that slightly damp feeling........
