It's all happening..

Well it's all happening around here. It's Safety Afloat Sunday tomorrow and the crew of the Audlem Lass plus a wide assortment of hangers on have been here for the last day or two setting up. They're doing a sterling job and have braved the terrible weather to set up the marquees. Angus is clearing up stone and rubble from by the workshop and even my mother is here supervising a major planting scheme (well actually it's just the flower bed by the Marina Reception but she seems to be enjoying herself). Mike Harper's team from Harbrook Engineering have also been back putting the finishing touches to our new bridge and Colin the painter has painted away like mad to get it finished in time so we can have an official opening tomorrow. The only thing not finished is the cementing in of the stone on the steps. At the moment they're laid on sand so we can at least use them – the weather has been so atrocious the builder just couldn't cement them in on time but hey ho – that's life. Even the girls have been here, Isabelle has been doing the teenage thing of huffing and puffing every time I ask her to do something, and then doing it anyway and Anna is focussed on expanding her business empire by selling her hand made cards in the moorer's craft tent tomorrow. And as for tonight, well it's a bar and BBQ night so there might be a few sore heads in the morning ;)
