I've had the most fabulous photo given to me – it's one of daughter No.2's cheeky little pony Lucky. He's one of the loveliest little ponies I've ever had the pleasure to meet. He's a saint when she handles him and follows her round like a puppy, and is really good fun when she rides him BUT (and there is always a but!) he seems to be able to get muddier than any pony I've ever known! Every weekend we get him in, spend 2 hours getting him clean, she rides for an hour, we turn him out...and then I am convinced that he finds somewhere in the field to dig a hole, fill it with water, pather it about to get the optimum amount of mud, then dives in it! It can be the only explanation – if you don't believe me just look closer at the photo – he's even got mud on his lips! Many thanks to Mark Welton for the photo, and a very special mention to his wife who was elected to yawn continually to see if it works with animals too!
