My dream boat

Phew, it's been a hectic couple of weeks – that's my best excuse as to why I've not blogged sooner. We were away last weekend at the wedding of one of Angus's college friends. Steve lives on the east coast of Cumbria in a little village called Seascale – probably better known by most, by the large nuclear reprocessing plant built next door called Sellafield. It's a fascinating place – I've been shown around it a couple of times in my previous life with groups of environmental studies students. The cooling ponds where they store the waste are big enough to float the QE2 in. I used to be quite impressed at the size of them but now I've got my own pond. Speaking of which, the season is upon us and everyone is on their boats – it's lovely to see so many faces. In another development we're now playing a more active role in brokerage and are handling all the viewings on behalf of Rugby Boats. At last I get to indulge myself showing people round lots of different boats, picking out all the best bits I'd put into my "dream boat" – trouble is the list is fairly long so I'm going to have to break the news to Angus that it's going to have to be a pretty large boat!
