Nice Dress

I had to give in and watch a bit of THE WEDDING – I'll get it over with and confess right now – I'm a sucker for a nice wedding dress and I have to say that THE DRESS was really nice, very Grace Kelly and likely to look good in 10, 20 or 50 years time. Right – enough about girly stuff – lets get back to boats! Last weekend the Audlem Lass started running from Overwater to the bottom of the locks in Audlem. It has to be one of the nicest small boat trips in the north west – the views are superb as you go over the River Weaver valley.

Audlem Lass is being run in aid of the RNLI by a volunteer crew who have all undergone their helmsman training with Cheshire Cat Training which is now based at the marina – it's fantastic to see so many people giving up their free time to raise money for such a great cause. The children are delighted by the new service, not least because they can now hitch a lift to their friends who live near bridge 79. Over the easter period over 500 passengers used the boat, trouble is I have a feeling my children and their friends may have accounted for at least half of them!!
