Rudolf

Most of us went off to the Lord Combermere in Audlem last night for an informal xmas do. If you've never been, it's a lovely family run pub right in the middle of the village – very warm and friendly. Whilst most of us tackled a range of meals on the menu my band of merry engineers were adament – there could only be one choice – the infamous TLC burger – and crikey, they were not disappointed! I've never seen such a huge burger! They were so large Angus nearly popped home to check all the cattle were still there! Simon and Gary R won the Battle of the Burger, polishing off the lot, but I have to say the side were marginally let down by Gary S, who just couldn't quite squeeze the lot in! This was followed by the almost as famous TLC sundae (We had to provide daughter No 1 to help Gary S polish his off). meanwhile daughter No 2 treated us to her alternative version of Rudolph the red nose reindeer. And the moral of the story.....don't bite off more than you can chew; sharing your sundae is the way forward and if you happen to spot a cute little blonde doing an impression of a reindeer you know Christmas is almost here!
