Snowtime

Well we managed to get back from the London Boat show on Thursday night just in time to avoid the worst of the snow. The children could barely sleep they were so excited at the prospect of being snowed in and I have to say that if I'm honest – so was I! So Friday morning came and they were terribly upset when they opened the curtains and we hadn't had five foot of snow. They did get sent home from school early so that helped to improve the mood in the camp. I walked down to the Marina in the snowflakes and it was beautiful. Given the weather I did expect to have a really quiet day but we were quite busy and even had Ladies and their Threads in for coffee in the afternoon which always cheers me up – they bring so much life and laughter to the place. Then I walked home again trying to avoid disappearing into snow drifts (not easy when you're only 5'2") and decided that I could give in to the adult thing of being really fed up of slipping and sliding around but I've decided not to – instead we went sledging!
