We've been having a bit of an early spring clean in the Overwater office and reception. Everywhere has had a lick of paint and the office has had a new carpet. David has been very strict with me – no more post it's stuck to my wall with "essential information" on – it all has to be kept tidy and shipshape. I was about to go into a decline and at one point considered sitting quietly in my corner whilst rocking back and to, then realised that, just like my children, the marina is growing up. And whilst it grows up I'm so close to it all that I'm in danger of not seeing things through fresh eyes. I also hate change but again the marina must change as it grows up – things must be fixed, re-painted, changed around, improved. And then there is a degree of excitement about it all, like that feeling when you start a new fitness regime and realise that actually you're not only feeling good but starting to look good too! Speaking of which I made a rash decision to enter a Pretty Muddy 5k run to raise money for Cancer Research – Angus couldn't stop laughing when I told him – as he pointed out to me that a) I hate mud and b) I can't run!
