A stitch in time

I've not blogged for ages – other things in life took over and to cut a long story short – a month or so ago I found a lump in my breast, this and other areas of thr same breast were diagnosed as cancer. Just over a week ago I underwent surgery to remove the left breast and reconstruct. In consequence I'm now on enforced "box rest" (technical term that most horse lovers will know well). For the first few days this was ok – a combination of 2 general anesthetics in one week and some pretty heavy duty pain killers pretty much knocked me out. Now I'm getting restless – by the end of this week I reckon I'll probably be crawling the walls and Angus will be heard muttering the word "intolerable" under his breath. But – since I seem to have more stiches than a hand made quilt I have to be really careful so I'm having a couple of weeks away from the marina. A few things seem to be happening in my absence....no-one is still sure about what I actually do all day ;) everyone is coping fine and the "wheels haven't come off" and Sam has proclaimed himself "Marina Overlord"! At this rate I'm not sure they'll actually want me back...
