Sun at last!

At last – a bit of sunshine! It feels like it should be May time, not July – where is the year going to! The jet stream is on the move north so fingers crossed we're in for at least 12 hours of nice weather. We spent last week in North Wales in a caravan, in the rain – not the most inspiring family holiday, but a break so I shouldn't complain. The highlight of the week was crab fishing on Beaumaris Pier – Angus and I had a great time....oh and we did let the kids have a bit of a go as well. We also visited the RNLI lifeboat station and they were delighted to hear of the Audlem Lass's fundraising efforts. I've spent many happy years sailing in the Menai Straits so it was nice to think we're giving something back to the organisation that is always there when you get yourself into trouble (fortunately we never needed rescuing – but given that we live on an island you never know when you might need them!)
