Surfing

Yesterday was the first time I've EVER seen waves big enough to surf on....on the Shropshire Union Canal!! For anyone who was out and about on the cut – hope you got through it and jolly well done! As for the rest of us – we were busy rescuing aerials and the odd life buoy – fortunately not too much damage and I'm amazed we haven't lost more trees on the farm. The wind was coming from the strangest direction!! On a completely different note – last night Angus and I went to hear Adam Henson (Countryfile) speak at a Weston Farm Discussion Group Meeting – what a great guy! He was fascinating to listen to and a thoroughly nice chap to talk to. We took Isabelle – she's a big Countryfile fan and I did the "embarrassing mother" bit of dragging her over to say hello to him and to tell him she's his biggest fan...I could almost hear the poor girl cringing with embarrassment – oh the joys of motherhood!!
