There's no place like gnome

"There's no place like gnome......." or should that be "gnome is where the heart is" or "gnome sweet gnome" As you may have guessed there's a bit of a gnome theme to this week's blog. And that's because it has come to my attention that we may have a few gnome's which have moved into the marina. Now this is causing me concern on a couple of counts, one because no-one remembers signing out the security gate codes to them and two because I haven't got a clue where they are – but I know they are there, so when you're out around the marina, keep your eyes open and please report any illicit gnome locations to the marina office immediately to put me out of my misery!

Speaking of misery, it's been a tricky week on the marina business front because we've had a few problems with our electrics in the facilities building. We've had a couple of power cuts and also circuits which have tripped out. The most upsetting of these was the power cut we had overnight which meant the ice cream freezer in the Overwater Coffee Lounge was out of action. Extremely upsetting from the point of view of Chris (brokerage) and I, (who had galantly offered to consume any ice cream which had gone a bit soft) was that by the time we got to it, soft wasn't in it – liquid was a better description and much as I love rum 'n raisin ice cream I just couldn't fancy drinking the whole tub..........
