Unsinkable

A busy week or two at the moment – spring feels like it's sprung and we've been busy sowing wildflower seeds on the island, as well as tidying up the french drains so we can start mowing the grass again, without remodelling the mower blades everytime the gardener drives near the edge! I had a lovely morning on Saturday. The Audlem Lass returned to the marina so I pulled the few strings I have as the boss and talked the crew into taking me on a cruise around the island to take some photos. I would like to say it was a very serious expedition, but as many of you will probably guess, we just don't take life that seriously around here and it wasn't long before I got told off by the skipper for rocking the boat! The journey culminated with the suggestion that I re-enact the famous scene from Titanic (that's the bit where the heroine stands on the very bow of the boat – not the bit where they all drown!) Anyway needless to say I bravely had a go, much to the amusement of many of our moorers who were actually more convinced I might end up doing the drowning bit after all....
