Walking the cat...

It feels like ages since I've seen the marina without some covering of snow so when it all thawed this week, I couldn't get over how much greener everywhere looks – just makes you realize how it must feel for the people who live in places like the Alps where snow is on the ground for months on end.

I've started walking down to the site more now in order to reduce my carbon footprint and also to get a bit more exercise. One of the cats has even taken to coming with me for a walk (he think's he's a dog, but much smarter!) Not so smart though because last week he followed me into the staff cabin where we sign in and as I left got shut in.
The lads who were in having their break then spent the next 15 minutes trying to figure out what was making a noise like a cat meowing...until they realised it was indeed a cat meowing and most indignantly so! Then the ungrateful moggy, wandered into the nearest cabin with a working heater and spent the afternoon curled up comfy and warm while I walked home alone...in the cold....
