Welcome to 2010

Well – here it is – the first blog of the new year! We celebrated in style at home with our own version of "I'm a Celebrity, Get me Out of Here". The dining room was turned into a credible jungle with the help of 5 packets of green crepe paper (courtesy of the paper shop in Audlem, where you can find almost everything!) and a veritable selection of rubber spiders, snakes and a couple of wooden lizards. I won't dwell on the party games but needless to say there was much amusement at the bush tucker trials we'd managed to rustle up.

As for the marina – well until this week we seemed to be the only part of the country without snow, but everywhere was frozen solid. The snow came last night , but really only a dusting. Conditions on site are pretty difficult but there are bits and pieces that are being done and I'll be kitting myself out in a pair of thermals to go down there tomorrow to take some more photos.
