Right, that's it – I've had enough of all this rain, it's about time we had a decent bit of weather. Except I've just read all about the Jet Stream being to the south of the UK, when normally at this time of year it's to the north, so it's unlikely we're going to see much of an improvement over the next month or so. One of our biggest problems at the Marina has been the caravan site – we have a small Caravan Club Certified Location, and at the moment it seems to be becoming an extension of the Marina. It's so disheartening having to cancel people's holidays, but in a slightly perverse way I've been taking comfort by the news reports of people being rescued from caravan parks in other parts of the country – it's good to know we're all 'in the same boat'. From a farming point of view, if Angus had much hair, he'd be tearing the rest of it out! He's desparately needing to do the second cut of grass for silage and there's just no work window in the weather. The grass is no starting to go to seed which means the feed value to the cows will be vastly reduced – a nightmare for a dairy farmer. So if anyone knows any good weather charms please could you send them our way and we'll see what we can do!
