When is a twig not just a twig?

When is a twig not just a twig? When it's going to grow up into a beautiful tree of course and like most good things – they all start off small! Over the last couple of weeks our landscape gardeners have been busy planting just over 4,000 hedge plants and around 150 trees....and the result....they have bad backs...and I have an even more beautiful marina. It's hard to appreciate what they are going to look like at the moment as you could be forgiven for thinking we've just stuck a few twigs in the ground but wait for Spring and it'll all start to happen. Speaking of which we've had just the odd couple of days where you step out of the door and can almost feel Spring arriving – the air feels different, the birds sound different and you just get a feeling of new life all around you – quite a weird thing to describe but I'm sure many of you will know what I mean (kind of!!)
