This weekend will see the 16th annual Audlem Festival of Transport organised by ASET. A huge number of historic boats will be gathered for this weekend (24th – 26th July 2015).
Approximately 330 vintage cars, vans, trucks and buses are expected to join the 2015 parade from Hankelow to Audlem. The parade starts at 11.00am from Hankelow Green when it will proceed to Audlem along the designated route through the village to the village playing field off Cheshire Street. Here the entrants will be parked for viewing by the public for the remainder of the day. Entry to this very popular event is free and you can even catch the Audlem Lass from the Marina to the bottom of the Audlem flight then make the short walk up to the village (there is a footpath from the corner of the Shroppie Fly car park up to the playing field)
This year a record number of vintage canal boats are expected at the Audlem Wharf next to Audlem Mill and the Shroppie Fly.
