Clean for the Queen

Do you have any free time on Saturday 5th of March? If so then you could take part in the Nation's Biggest Clean Up, – 'Clean for the Queen'.
Clean for The Queen is a campaign to clear up Britain in time for Her Majesty the Queen's 90th birthday, which will be officially celebrated in June 2016.
If you'd like to do your bit in Audlem the tidy up and litter pick will be working around the immediate village area of the canal, tidying the surrounding area.
Litter picking will extend from bridge 74, Coxbank to Overwater Marina, the access steps behind the Mill, flower beds, pub car parks, the towpath and all of the area that the canal interacts with the village of Audlem.
The clean for the Queen event is part of the work of Towpath Taskforce, organised by Dek Owen. This amazing group of volunteers continue to improve the environment around the canal, putting the sparkle back in the village of Audlem. Please get in touch with Dek if you would like to get involved. Refreshments will be provided – all you need to bring is suitable outdoor clothing and some lunch.
