There was definitely a good choice of beer and cider on offer at the Audlem Beer Festival this weekend, and it was lovely to see so many of our moorers supporting the event. We popped down on Monday afternoon and spent many a happy hour watching people wobble around and stagger off down the high street.
We've just had a lovely family holiday in Northumberland, Angus, myself and the kids. We went to Keilder Water and stayed in a lovely holiday lodge near to the reservoir itself. The dam which created Keilder Water was opened in 1982 by the Queen and is awesome to walk over. Equally impressive
Angus and I have been away last week on a road trip – well, to be precise a summer networking event organised by The Yacht Harbour Association, which in turn is the body who represents marinas within the British Marine Federation. We started off in London at Penton Hook Marina, then travelled by coach
What a great weekend! We've just held the Audlem RNLI Festival at Overwater. It all kicked off with a dog show, sponsored by Nantwich Vets, on the Saturday and then the best evening do ever on the Saturday night – all thanks to the Wychcraft Big Band who were superb, and of course to everyone who
It's been so busy round here there is loads to say! It's been Audlem's music festival weekend this week, as well as Crick Boat show. Alex and Ant have been down at Crick on the Overwater stand and have been delighted to see so many moorers at the show. I went down on the "Overwater

What a difference a bit of sunshine makes!! Everyone is walking around the marina with a smile on their faces (not that they don't do that most of the time anyway!) At last there's a feeling of spring, cold, but a proper feeling of spring. It's seemed like an awfully long winter this year
I had to pop into Nantwich the other day to pick up a few things. It was bitterly cold and as usual I was running late and rushing around a bit. When I came back to the car I opened the boot and I am convinced I saw something small dart across the back of the boot. I gingerly picked at the stack of
I'm going potty about potholes at the moment! I'm desparate to fill some in on the road around the moorings but everytime I book some muscle to help out it either rains again (or it snows!) it's driving me (and the moorers) mad! Angus tells me I have to be patient and wait for a dry spell
